PUBLISHING SHARED LIBRARY ACCESS

Once you have setup and configured your Shared Library and you have added content for your Members to download, you will need to provide access to the Shared Library.

  1. In the Shared Library, navigate to the User View button

  2. Use the following URL for publishing your link to your Members (replace the XXXs with your PlayerLync address):  https://XXX.XXX.net/sm/cc/shared_library_mobile.php
    (Example: https://something.playerlync.net/sm/cc/shared_library_mobile.php)

  3. Open the PlayerLync Admin Portal and navigate to Publish

  4. You will now need to decide how you want to share the link to the Shared Library

    1. Option A: Intranet Link
This will place a tappable link in the Intranet for the Shared Library and nowhere else on the device.

      1. Select the location under Organization for the link, then use the globe menu icon to select “Create Intranet Link”

      2. Enter a name for the link as well as the URL from step 2

      3. You can now apply Group Access limits if you wish

      4. On the device, the Member will see the link to the Shared Library in the Intranet menu provided they have access to the Intranet module.

    2. Option B: Web Link
This will place a tappable link to the Shared Library inline with the rest of your content.
      1. Select the location under Organization for the link, then use the globe menu icon to select “Create Web Link”

      2. Enter a name for the link as well as the URL from step 2

      3. You can now apply Group Access limits if you wish

      4. On the device, the Member will see the link to the Shared Library inline with the rest of the content they have access to.

    3. Option C: Navbar Link
This will place a tappable link to the Shared Library at the bottom of the screen next to the other navigation buttons for Content, Messages, Intranet, etc. and nowhere else on the device.

      1. Select the location under Organization for the link, then use the globe menu icon to select “Create Navbar Link”

      2. Enter a name for the link as well as the URL from step 2

      3. Select an icon to be displayed on the navigation bar for the link
(Note: Navbar Link icons can only be black and white – no color icons)

      4. You can now apply Group Access limits if you wish

      5. On the device, the Member will see the link to the Shared Library at the bottom of the screen next to all of the other navigation links
