New | PM-1277 | Content Linking provides hyperlinks to specific pieces of content housed in PlayerLync. This dramatically simplifies the workflow for Administrators who can then utilize PlayerLync as a content player. It also provides an ease of interoperability into other applications and platforms. Content Linking functions both within and from outside of the PlayerLync app. Content Links can be used in email, SMS, content management systems, and other platforms to link directly to content secured within the PlayerLync application. The feature also serves as a replacement attribute in the file properties for various links currently available for each piece of content inside of PlayerLync. These legacy links would only load content as long as the Member is already authenticated into the application, otherwise, the content has to be searched for after logging in. Content Links handle post-authentication directing of the Member to the content in-app, with no need to search. Content links opened on mobile devices will load in the native app when the app is installed and on the web when links are opened from a desktop device or from a native device that doesn’t have the application installed. |
