Native Mobile Apps for iOS, Android and Windows
PlayerLync's native mobile applications leverage the best features of all of the major mobile device platforms.
Media-rich user interface & flexible interface options
PlayerLync offers two mobile interface designs for each platform; a media-rich, graphical UI, and a fast, intuitive file system UI. All options are responsive by device type (phone vs. iPad) and create a strong, engaging user experience.
"Two-tap" navigation
Complex search and multi-level navigation get in the way of users finding the content they need. PlayerLync's simple mobile app interface provides content access in no more than two-taps, making navigation fast and intuitive.
Seamless online/offline operation
Most app functions and content experiences are available to users whether they have an internet connection or not. Users never need to manually download content for offline consumption - PlayerLync's mobile apps handle content synchronization automatically, even in sleep mode.
Content Offload
The ability to present an online resource such as a corporate website or online LMS, and selectively "offload" heavyweight digital assets such as videos for local playback. When a user on the site taps into a video link, PlayerLync detects whether a matching video file exists in local memory and, if so, plays back the local file instead of streaming the online resrouce, substantially reducing bandwidth consumption and eliminating risk of buffering and playback issues while keeping the user in the apropriate online experience.
Shared device features
User-specific content based on role, region, training track or other criteria, with multiple users able to share a single device without over-the-air transaction and content syncronization. Also available for IOS with managed app config features (see Apple features)
Language Localization
User-selected language features enable users to select the language of their choice. PlayerLync translates all app-based text and navigation into the selected language. Customers may also configure additional navigational elements to the translated text of their choice.
